Referred to as a Last Will and Testament, is a written/typed document that allows you to specify how estate assets will be divided among your heirs or anyone else you'd like to leave money or property to after you're gone.

A living trust is a type of revocable trust used in estate planning that allows you to manage assets during your lifetime and beyond. When you establish a living trust, you can act as your own trustee or name someone else to assume that role. If you choose to serve as trustee, you can specify in the trust document who should succeed you if you pass away or become incapacitated.

A living will is an advance healthcare directive that allows you to leave instructions for medical care in situations where you're terminally ill. For example, you might include a "do not resuscitate" (DNR) order in your living will or specify which kinds of procedures you don't want to be subjected to. Living wills ensure your end-of-life wishes are upheld by your doctors and loved ones.

Allows a person to select someone else to make health decisions on their behalf. The principal can limit or give unrestricted powers to the agent to make any type of responsibility, including ending the principal's life. Alternate agents may also be selected in the event the primary agent cannot perform. 

Used to designate someone else ("agent") to represent a person's financial interests on their behalf. The term "durable" refers to a POA containing instructions that it will NOT terminate if the principal becomes incapacitated. 

A Transfer on Death Deed (TOD Deed) is a legal document that allows property owners to designate beneficiaries who will inherit their real estate upon death, avoiding the probate process. 

A legal document that guides healthcare professionals on whether to withhold or continue life-sustaining treatment if the individual's condition is terminal or irreversible. This directive serves as a crucial tool for ensuring that a person's healthcare preferences are respected during critical medical situations. 

A universal power of attorney that allows an individual (the principal) to grant broad powers to another person (an agent) to manage finances and assets on behalf of the principal. The powers automatically expire if the principal is found to be incompetent.
